UFO looking for a parking space
One in five people believe that extra-terrestrial beings have already arrived on planet Earth, says a worldwide poll conducted by Reuters Ipsos.
Researchers questioned 23,000 adults from 22 countries; 80 percent of respondents said they did not believe that aliens are residing in our midst while 20 percent said they were convinced that aliens - disguised as ordinary human beings - are alive and well and living down the road.
A whopping 40 percent of those questioned in China and India are convinced that aliens are already happily residing somewhere on the planet. The largest number of sceptics live in the Netherlands, Belgium and Sweden; just eight percent of respondents say they believe aliens have already colonised our planet.
The vast majority of those who believe that aliens could be living next door are men under the age of 35.
